Pride 812

The goal of The Pride, since its inception, has been to make soccer available to everyone. We have tried to build an organization that is as inclusive as possible, never turning away an invitation, and making sure everyone is able to support their favorite team. The typical Supporter Group culture can, at times, be insular and exclusive; which is why we have tried to break down those walls when they have presented themselves.

With that mission has come chapters. Not everyone is able to make it down to Nippert, or soon the West End, to watch the games on game day. Many FCC fans don’t live in Cincinnati! But many people want to contribute to the atmosphere, the environment, and the culture that has made FCC special, but they want to do it and still create those bonds and friendships that ultimately make a supporter group fun.

With that said, I am very happy to announce that The Pride will have its second chapter opening in South Eastern Indiana. I present to you Pride 812. Here is a note from Pride 812 Co-Chapter Presidents Ryan Sparks & Alex Nicholson:

With the news of FC Cincinnati re-branding dominating the news, and the excitement of the MLS coming to the tri-state area, we have some exciting news out of South-Eastern Indiana.  We are forming a supporters group chapter of “The Pride” for Indiana.  The Chapter “Pride 812” (@ThePride812 on Twitter) will have more announcements coming soon but we are hopeful that season ticket members, families, and fans of FC Cincinnati that live in Indiana and the surrounding area will be interested in joining Pride 812, joining our Facebook group (Here), and our e-mail mailing list.

The Pride is an extremely fun organization to be a part of.  The goal of forming the Pride 812 Chapter in The Pride is to bring families, and friends even closer together while making some new friends with the common love of soccer and FC Cincinnati.  We are excited to offer another outlet for soccer fans in our area to enjoy the beautiful game together, celebrate together, and cheer together for our boys in Orange and Blue.  Not only is it our goal to support the Orange and Blue of FC Cincinnati but to #SupportLocalSoccer at all levels, from the local SAY Soccer programs, all the way up to Major League Soccer.

We will have a number of members events, charity fundraisers, and get-togethers as we continue to evolve Pride 812 into an important part of the organization and our community.  In the coming weeks, you will see more information about PRIDE 812, including our partnership with local organizations and businesses.

PRIDE 812 is ready to make “Family Friendly” noise as we will continue to do things in our local community and beyond!

Pride 812 is not the only chapter that will likely be joining the Pride for the upcoming MLS season. And if you have a group of friends who don’t live in Cincinnati and are interested in starting a chapter, drop us a line at contact@thepridecincy.com
